J. P. Nadda to Inaugurate 10th National Summit on Public Health Innovations in Chandigarh
New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, will host the 10th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Health Systems in Chandigarh from April 30 to May 1, 2026.
The summit will be inaugurated in August by Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare J.P. Nadda in the presence of Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Minister of Haryana, and State Health & Family Welfare Minister Arti Singh Rao.
Senior officials from across the country—including Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries (Health), Mission Directors, senior State/UT nodal officials under NHM, and senior officials from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare—are expected to attend. Representatives from the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) and the Regional Resource Centre–North East (RRC-NE) will also participate.
The National Summit is a flagship initiative designed to showcase, recognise, and document innovative and effective public health practices adopted by States and Union Territories to address diverse public health challenges. It provides a platform for knowledge sharing and encourages the replication of successful, scalable models across the country.
The yearly event enables States and UT’s to present evidence-based, outcome-driven interventions in public healthcare service delivery and technology that have contributed to improved health outcomes.
Launched in 2013, the initiative has consistently brought together stakeholders to exchange ideas and innovations in public health. The previous edition of the summit was held in Puri from February 28 to March 1, 2025.
