New Delhi: Bengaluru Football Club (FC) defeated Jamshedpur Football Club (FC) 3-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Athletic Stadium, Goa, on Saturday, February 05, 2022.
The match began with Jamshedpur in the lead. Jamshedpur player Daniel Chima Chukwu made a right-foot shot from close range to the bottom left corner and led the team with 1-0. Bengaluru’s Suresh Wangjam assisted Danish Bhat, whose right-footed shot went high and wide in the 6th minute.
Jamshedpur’s Boris Singh gave a cross to Seiminlen Doungel in the 32nd minute. Though Doungel attempted a right foot from the right side of the box, he missed the shot. Bengaluru’s Roshan Singh gave a cross to Sunil Chhetri, who missed a close-range header to the left in the 41st minute. Jamshedpur won the first half with 1-0.
The second half began as Bengaluru’s Bruno Ramires assisted Chhetri in shooting a right-footed from very close range to the bottom right corner and equalising scores in the 54th minute. Both teams were at 1-1 tie. Singh gave another cross to Cleiton Silva in the 61st minute. Silva made a header from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner, and Bengaluru was leading the match 2-1.
Meanwhile, opponents blocked Jamshedpur player Greg Stewart’s left-footed attempt from the left side of the box in the 71st minute. Jamshedpur’s Laldinliana Renthlei passed to Narender Gahlot, who made a right-footed shot from 35 yards away. They missed the attempt in the 83rd minute.
Both teams were aggressively trying to score when Silva made a right-footed shot from the left side of the box to the top right corner in the 94th minute. Bengaluru won the match by 3-1 points.
