New York [United States]: India has reiterated its long-standing demand for comprehensive reforms in the United Nations Security Council, stressing that the veto power held by the five permanent members must not be used for narrow political interests.
Delivering India’s statement at the United Nations, India’s Permanent Representative, Parvathaneni Harish, emphasised that the veto carries significant responsibility and must be exercised with restraint, particularly on matters concerning international peace and security.
