New Delhi [INDIA]: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Keralam, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. The weather agency has also forecast heavy rainfall over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and south interior Karnataka.
According to the IMD, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep until tomorrow. The Met Department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over coastal Karnataka today. Meanwhile, the weather agency has forecast mainly cloudy skies over the national capital today.
