Football: Despite the pain, Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus plays on
New Delhi, April 9: Brazil and Arsenal FC footballer Gabriel Jesus has said he does not even remember when he last played without feeling pain.
He told reporters on Monday that a series of injuries since 2021 while playing football make him feel the pain at all times.
“Yes I’m having problems and also setbacks…and people don’t know this, I feel pain. The reality is that I don’t even remember the last time I didn’t play without pain.”.
Jesus underwent knee surgery that took him out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and this was followed by a hamstring strain injury and a new knee injury in February that sent him out of the pitch for five games.
About Arsenal FC signing a new player, he said “My job is to work and train hard, to improve and help the football club win the trophies.”
In the current season, Gabriel Jesus has participated in 28 games and scored eight goals, including four in the English premier league.
