Farmers’ agitation in Delhi: Amit Shah visits two hospitals to meet injured police officers
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday visited two hospitals to meet police officers who got injured in farmers’ tractor rally on republic day.
The home minister visited two Shushrut Trauma Centre and Teerath Ram Hospital to enquire about the health of the injured police personnel.
Farmers had organized a tractor rally on January 26 against three farm laws. Nearly 400 policemen were injured during the tractor parade at Delhi’s borders since November.
The Delhi Police on Wednesday had alleged that farmer leaders made inflammatory speeches and were involved in the violence during the tractor parade by agitating farmers that left 394 of its personnel injured, as it warned that no culprit will be spared.
Delhi police registered around 25 FIRs against farmers and their leaders who are involved in violation.
Delhi police may take strict action against anti-social elements and could use CCTV footage to detect the persons who are responsible for violation in the city.
The Delhi Police on Wednesday said that “200 people have been detained in connection with the violence in the national capital during the farmers’ tractor rally.”
