Ahmedabad: Over 15 lakh students are ready to appear for the board exam scheduled on March 28. According to the information, over 9.64 lakh students are in Class 10, 4.25 lakh in Class 12 general stream, and 1.08 lakh in Class 12 scientific stream.
On Monday, Education Minister Jitu Vaghani met with district collectors, police commissioners, and district SPs, asking them to guarantee that no power outages occurred during the exam.
According to a statement from the state education department, the education minister also instructed top police officers to ensure that no rumors about irregularities were spread during this time.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has asked all exam centers, including 958 Class 10 and 667 Class 12 centers, to supply fans and lighting to students. All CCTV cameras installed in exam centers would be verified before the exams, Education department officials said.
