Earthquake: A 4.1 tremblor jolts Andaman and Nicobar Islands
New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted the Diglipur district of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Friday, April 22, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared seismographs on Twitter highlighting the affected areas.
The NCS tweeted on Friday, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred on April 22, 2022, 09:21 am IST on latitude 15.32 and longitude 92.93 with 15 km located 228 km North of Diglipur, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India.”
No reports of damage or casualties reported so far. The islands have experienced the ninth earthquake of April so far.
