Covid-19: India registers less than 30,000 cases in the last 24 hours, lowest in four months
New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday morning informed that “The Nation recorded less than 30000 cases in the last 24 hours which is lowest in 132 days. Active caseload fell below 400,000 after 124 days.”
The data updated by the health ministry on-site shows that “India recorded 29,689 new coronavirus infections that pushed its tally of COVID-19 cases to 31,440,951 while the death toll climbed to 421,382 with 415 daily fatalities.”
The recovery rate of the Nation now stands at 97.39 percent and the active cases have declined to 398,100. The number of active cases fell by 13,089 in 24 hours.
The government conducted 1,720,110 tests on Monday and taking the total number of tests conducted so far to 459,164,121. The daily positivity rate has declined to 1.73 percent. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.33 percent, the ministry data stated.
The total number of vaccine doses administered so far has reached 44.19 crores under the nationwide vaccination drive.
The government is trying to vaccinate the maximum number of people in the nation in minimal time. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Vaccination of the maximum number of people, follow the covid-19 guidelines are the only way to prevent the third wave and protect ourselves from the deadliest virus.
