Changing his statement Randeep Surjewala clarifies in Press Conference: Rahul’s resignation rejected by CWC

Congress Party addresses a press conference in New Delhi where in Congress Spokesperson, Randeep Surjewala said CWC has Given Cong Chief Free Hand to Restructure Party. With contrast to his previous statement that reports about Rahul Gandhi resignations are incorrect, he now in the Press Conference clarified that Congress President Rahul Gandhi offered his resignation but it was rejected by the members of the CWC unanimously.

GN Azad said, “In CWC meeting everyone unanimously told him(Rahul Gandhi)he did a good job.No one has a doubt on his leadership but situation was like that. If someone can lead the party in such situation, it’s only Rahul Gandhi, if anyone can lead opposition, it’s only Rahul Gandhi.

He also mentioned that his leadership might not be evident enough through media but among the people it is.

AK Antony, Congress: I don’t agree that it was a disastrous performance, but we were not able to rise up to the expectations. Party will discuss this in details. Today we had only general discussions.
