New Delhi [India]: Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi has said that agrivoltaics offers an opportunity to transform India’s agricultural and energy landscapes together. The Minister said this while sharing an article on social media, co-authored with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The article highlights how integrating solar energy with farming can enhance farmers’ incomes, conserve water, improve climate resilience and create rural employment, building on the progress of PM KUSUM. Mr Joshi further underlined that the 7th Agrivoltaics World Conference, commencing today under the Chairmanship of India, reflects the country’s growing role in shaping this emerging global field.
