Adani Group Bolsters Madhya Pradesh Investment; Pranav Adani Lays Foundation for ₹1,060 Cr Guna Cement Unit
GUNA – Marking a significant milestone in the industrial landscape of Central India, Mr. Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises, performed the Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for a new Adani Cement grinding unit in Guna today.
The event was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, highlighting the strategic importance of the project in the state’s burgeoning infrastructure sector.
A Landmark Investment for Guna
The new facility represents an investment of over ₹1,060 crore, making it the largest industrial investment in the history of the Guna district. The project is designed to be completed in two phases:
* Annual Capacity: 40 lakh metric tonnes (4 MTPA).
* Timeline: Phase One is scheduled for commissioning by 2028.
* Economic Impact: The unit is expected to contribute over ₹6,000 crore to the state treasury over its lifecycle and provide direct and indirect employment to approximately 1,500 people.

Driving the ‘MP Growth Engine’
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pranav Adani lauded the state’s economic trajectory under the leadership of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav.”Today marks more than just the start of a project; it gives a new direction to the development of Madhya Pradesh,” said Mr. Pranav Adani. “With the state’s GDP projected to exceed ₹15 lakh crore by 2025, MP is proving its strength in logistics and industrial infrastructure under the PM Gati-Shakti Vision.”
Adani also extended special gratitude to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for his instrumental role in accelerating development plans from paper to ground reality.
Scaling Towards 2030: The ₹1.1 Lakh Crore Promise
The Guna plant is a critical piece of the broader commitment made by Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, during last year’s Global Investors Summit. The Group has pledged a staggering ₹110,000 crore investment in Madhya Pradesh across multiple sectors, including:
* Hydro Pumped Storage & Thermal Energy
* Cement and Mining
* Smart Meters and Green Technology
This massive capital infusion is projected to create 120,000 new jobs across the state by 2030.
Strengthening Regional Infrastructure
The Adani Group’s footprint in Madhya Pradesh is already extensive. The Group currently:
* Operates the Ametha and Kymor plants in Katni (₹4,000 crore investment).
* Supplies 1,200 MW of power to the state, with plans to add another 5,600 MW.
* Operates wind energy projects in Dhar, Ratlam, and Ujjain.
Mr. Adani further announced that the Group will soon be laying the foundation for another cement plant in Ujjain, reinforcing their goal to build a seamless, low-cost, and high-quality production network.
Beyond Business: Community & Ecosystems
The Guna grinding unit is expected to act as a catalyst for a local “economic ecosystem.” Beyond direct hiring, the plant will stimulate small businesses, transportation services, and local supply chains.
“This is an investment in the future of the local youth and a partnership for the progress of the state,” Mr. Adani concluded, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to India’s nation-building journey.
