Dehradun [Uttarakhand]: A collection of 27 mementos reflecting Uttarakhand’s spiritual heritage, folk traditions and regional identity is featured in the eighth edition of the PM Mementos e-auction, with proceeds supporting the Namami Gange Programme.
The gifts presented to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi include framed artworks, photo prints, temple models and other keepsakes associated with the state’s identity as Devbhoomi, or the land of the gods.
Four temple models form part of the collection: two depicting Shri Kedarnath Dham, one of Omkareshwar Temple at Ukhimath and a wooden model of Ganga Ji Mandir at Mukhba.
A photo print brings together the four Char Dham shrines – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Other items include a framed image of Mansa Devi in Haridwar, a view of Adi Kailash, a representation of Mahasu Devta Temple and an LED-lit glass memento featuring Kartik Swami Temple.
A print depicting Narayan Ashram and the Kumaon Himalayas captures the mountain landscape associated with the region’s spiritual traditions.
Uttarakhand’s Aipan folk art features on a wall clock and an artwork depicting Maa Durga. Seven Uttarakhandi or Pahari caps also represent the state’s regional identity.
The collection includes a badminton racket signed by Uttarakhand’s Lakshya Sen, adding a sporting achievement to an ensemble largely centred on religious and cultural heritage.
The Ganga Ji Mandir model connects the state’s spiritual traditions with the auction’s purpose, as proceeds support the rejuvenation and conservation of the Ganga through Namami Gange.
The auction is currently live and has been extended until the 31st, according to the release. Interested bidders can participate through the official PM Mementos e-auction portal.
