UK’s Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will hold talks with S.Jaishankar on December 15
New Delhi: The Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom (UK) – Dominic Raab is coming to India on December 14. Raab is on a four days visit to India, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Monday. As per the schedule – he will hold talks with Minister of External Affairs S.Jaishankar on December 15 (Tuesday) and will discuss bilateral, regional and international issues especially in trade and security, against the backdrop of the UK’s troubled exit from the European Union.
Dominic Raab will meet the Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar and Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal.
Raab will travel to Bengaluru on December 17 (Thursday) to meet the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
The MEA said India and the UK enjoy a strategic partnership since 2004, which has been marked by regular high-level exchanges and growing cooperation in diverse areas. It hopes Raab’s visit will pave the way for further strengthening of the partnership across trade, defence, climate, migration and mobility, education and health sectors in the post-Covid, post-Brexit context.
