New Delhi, April 4: The film director Ayan Mukharji has reportedly been roped in to direct the sequel to War under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Early on, Ayan shared the note on his social media, giving information about his movie, Brahmastra Sequel.
While sharing a note for the announcement of the Brahmastra parts 2 and 3, he also gave a hint about his ambitious project, where he wrote, “I have another piece of news to share… The universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently—a very special movie to set into and direct. What a movie is… more on that when the time is right.”
Taran Aadgarsh, a film critic and trade analyst, shared the news on his Twitter account, writing, “BIGGG DEVELOPMENT…AYAN MUKERJI TO DIRECT ‘WAR 2’ FOR YRF… HRITHIK ROSHAN CONFIRMED… Aditya Chopra signs Ayan Mukerji to direct#War2… The 7th film in the #YRF Spy Universe, which will follow the events of #Tiger3. #Hrithik Roshan will essay the principal lead role.”
It is also said that Ayan will first direct the war’s sequel before his own directed and written movie, Bramhastra’s sequel. However, there is no official announcement from Ayan’s side.
War, which was directed by Siddharth Anand and written by him, Aditya Chopra, Abbas Tyrewala, and Shridhar Raghavan, It is an action thriller movie that was released in the year 2019 and was produced under Yash Raj Films banner, starring Tiger Shroff, Hrithik Roshan, Vani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, and Anupriya Goenka.
