The India Air Force: RKS Bhadauria retires on September 30, Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari to be next IAF chief
New Delhi: Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari will be the next Chief of the Indian Air Force. He takes over when the present incumbent Air Chief Marshall RKS Bhadauria retires on September 30, spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, A. Bharat Bhushan Babu said while announcing the decision of the Government.
The IAF-Chief designate was commissioned in the Fighter Stream of the IAF in Dec 1982. He has flown a variety of fighter and trainer aircraft, including missions flown during Op-Meghdoot (Siachen) Op-Safed Sagar – that is during the Kargil conflict with Pakistan in May-July 1999.
Currently, he is the Vice Chief of the IAF and in the past commanded the Western Air Command.
