The Anti-Hindu activities in Bangladesh are sending a loud and clear message to the world that some anti-elements in the country are consistently trying to create an atmosphere against the Hindu community. Seeds are planting in the mind of people against Hindus and their festivals.

According to Bangladeshi Media, Several puja venues were vandalized in the area of Chandpur, Chittagong, Gazipur, Bandarban, Chapainawabganj, and Moulvibazar. The clashes resulted in several casualties.

Amid reports of attacks on Hindu temples and Durga Puja venues across Bangladesh, the ISKCON temple in the country’s Noakhali area was allegedly vandalized and a member of the temple was killed by a mob.

Bangladesh ISKCON authority on Friday said that “Temple and devotees were violently attacked by a mob in Noakhali. An ISKCON member, Partha Das, was killed by a mob of over 200 people. Partha Das’s body was found in a pond next to the temple.”

Another attack happened a few hours after Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina assured the Hindu community that those who attacked Hindu temples will be hunted down.

ISKCON tweeted pictures of the vandalized temple and said “We call on the government of Bangladesh to ensure the safety of all Hindus and bring the perpetrators to justice.”

The Bangladesh Police in March-2021 informed that Hundreds of supporters of a hardline Islamist group in Bangladesh attacked and vandalized 70 to 80 houses of Hindus in the country’s northeastern Sylhet division following a social media post allegedly by a youth from the minority community.

The attack on a Hindu village by several thousand followers of Hefazat-e-Islam’s leader Mamunul Haque took place in Shalla Upazila of Sunamganj district in Sylhet division on Wednesday, say media reports.

In August, Bangladesh Police had arrested 11 people for their attack on Hindu Temples, shops, and households.
