Tennis: Zverev reaches semi-finals at the French Open
New Delhi, June 6: Germany’s Alexander Zverev reached the semi-finals at the 2024 French Open after defeating Australian Alex de Minaur, the media reported on Thursday.
World no.4 Zverev won 6-4,7-6,6-4 against world no.11 de Minaur. “I’m happy to be back in another semi-final. Hopefully, I can win one,” Zverev told reporters after the match.
Zverev,27, who is aiming to win his first Grand Slam title of his career, will face Norwegian Casper Ruud in the semi-finals on Friday.
Casper Ruud reached the semi-finals without playing in the quarter-finals as a result of Novak Djokovic’s withdrawal on Tuesday.
