Tennis: Novak Djokovic to compete at the Olympics in Paris
New Delhi, June 19: Tennis legend Novak Djokovic, 37, will represent his country, Serbia, at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the media reported on Wednesday.
“Novak Djokovic and Dusan Lajovic have fulfilled the conditions according to ATP ranking and confirmed their participation at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris 2024,” the Serbian Olympic Committee wrote on their website.
The Paris Games will be his fifth Olympic appearance. He debuted in the competition in 2008 in Beijing where he won the bronze medal.
During the Olympic Games in Paris, the tennis matches will be played at Roland Garros, the home of the French Open, from July 27 to August 4.
Novak’s compatriot Dusan Lajovic, who is world no 56, will also represent Serbia in Paris.
