Telangana-Chattishgarh border: Security forces neutralizes six Naxals in an encounter
Bhopal: The operation conducted by Telangana Police on Monday killed six Naxals at the Telangana-Chattishgarh state border. Sunil Dutt Bhadradri Kothagudem SP said that “At least six Naxals were killed in an encounter in the forest area of Kistaram Police Station limits in the border area of Telangana and Chhattisgarh,”
According to the reports, as of 10 AM, the operations are still under process.
However, the Police have Recovered two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district before an encounter.
Media reports stated that the Naxals were losing support in the Bastar and Abujmad regions in Chhattisgarh, they started implanting IEDs targetting the Police forces in Region.
Substantively, the waffling continues under NDA, especially as Chhattisgarh now has a Congress government. If the UPA blamed BJP’s Chief Minister Raman Singh, the BJP would now accuse Congress’ Bhupesh Baghel of being soft.
However, India is paying a heavy price for this messed-up politics. It will need to change, especially as, with the new MMDR Act, the Modi government wants to give a mega push to mining.
