Sita Ramam trailer unveils on Monday
Mumbai: The first official trailer of one of the most anticipated Telugu films, Sita Ramam was unveiled on Monday, July 25, 2022, in a grand event held in Hyderabad. The love story spans over two decades.
Set in the backdrop of Kashmir in the 1960s, the trailer shows an orphaned soldier, Lieutenant Ram, whose life changes after he receives a letter from a girl named Sita. He meets her and that leads to the beginning of a love story. When he returns to his camp back in Kashmir, he sends Sita a letter, informing her that he would not be able to reach or contact her.
The trailer spans 20 years after which actors Rashmika Mandanna and Tharun Bhascker are provided with the task of handing that letter to SIta. When they are unable to find her, they choose to find Ram, which was even more difficult than finding Sita. The biggest hurdle is definitely Ram’s superior Brigadier Vishnu Sharma.
The stories have a touch of an epic love story and both journeys, the love story of Ram and Sita in the 60s and the search to find them in the 80s looks intriguing.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the period-drama stars Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tharun Bhascker in pivotal roles.
Speaking at the trailer launch, Dulquer Salman said, “When Hanu sir brought this story, everything about it felt so timeless and epic. I told myself I’ll do one last love story. One for the ages. It’s been the most beautiful experience. I got to see places in India I’ve never seen in my life.”
