Padavettu gets a release date
Mumbai: One of the most awaited Malayalam films, Padavettu, finally got a release date after several issues. As per the update, the film will release on September 02, 2022.
Leading Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly unveiled the release date on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Padavettu will mark the second theatrical release of Pauly in 2022 after period drama titled Thuramukham.
Pauly took to his social media handles and wrote, “The story of fighting for survival against all odds. Our labour of love, Padavettu is releasing in a cinema near you on September 02, 2022.”
The film made headlines for all the wrong reasons last year. Director Liju Krishna was arrested after an industry member accused Krishna under the #MeToo movement. The arrest happened during the final shooting schedule of the Pauly-starrer.
However, the Associate Directors (AD) later finished the pending production portions of Padavettu.
