Olympics: British long jumper Jazmin Sawyers to miss the 2024 Games
New Delhi, April 26: British track and field athlete Jazmin Sawyers will not be able to compete at the Olympics Games 2024 in Paris because of a serious injury she received during training, the media reported on Wednesday
Jazmin,29, suffered Achilles on her right leg and has been forced to undergo a surgery.
“It’s devastating to miss the Olympics this summer. It’s bad but I’m looking ahead to rehab, recovery, and the future,” she said.
Jazmin represented England in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing eighth in both events.
