Mavengers to Strike in Ahmedabad on Saturday, NIMCJ Students organise Mediotsav 2026
- More than 400 students across Gujarat to participate
Ahmedabad: National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ) is set to organise its annual media festival ‘Mediotsav 2026’ on 7th February, Saturday. The event will be held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee auditorium, Gujarat University. With the theme ‘Mavengers’, this third season of Mediotsav will witness participation of more than 400 students of standard 11 and 12 from schools as well as college students across Gujarat.
Along with 19 different competitions, including News anchoring, Debate, Elocution, Quiz, Film making, Jingle making, participants will also enjoy the workshops on writing and graphic designing-animation.
The event will be graced by the Chairman of Gujarat Sahitya Akademi Dr. Bhagyesh Jha, renowned gujarati film actor Raunaq Kamdar and popular podcaster Jay Thadeshwar. Experts from the media and other fields will judge the Mediotsav competitions. The closing ceremony will be attended by well-known filmmaker Abhishek Jain. Managing Trustee Pradeep Jain and other trustees will also be present.
Participants and winners will be encouraged with certificates and prizes. With the invaluable support of the Centre for Professional Courses, Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Jamawat Media, FAUJI Bags and Revoi Media, this event will take place.
Director of the institute Prof.(Dr.)Shirish Kashikar, Deputy director Ila Gohel, faculty members including Kaushal Upadhyay, Dr. Garima Gunawat, Ritu Verma, Librarian Mansi sarvaiya are working towards making the Mediotsav 2026 a success.
