Koffee with Karan 7: KJo reveals why Shah Rukh Khan will not be part of the season
Mumbai: Bollywood Producer and host, Karan Johar revealed why Shah Ruh Khan would not make an appearance on the seventh season of his popular talk show, Koffee with Karan.
In a recent interview, Johar was asked if fans could expect to watch Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan on the chat show.
“Well, Aamir, yes. Shah Rukh, I think, should really only explode at the time of Pathaan. So I know he’s not doing much, not facing any media right now and that’s the best decision for him because when Pathaan does come, it’s going to be a tsunami at the box office,” Johar replied.
“Shah Rukh has kept people waiting for a movie, and that the more the fans wait, the more they will give back in terms of love,” he added.
Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together on a number of films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and My Name Is Khan among several blockbusters.
Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is the fourth instalment in the YRF spy universe that currently includes films Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and War (2019). Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles.
Khan is also busy with films Jawan and Dunki.
