IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans unveil official jersey at Narendra Modi Stadium
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Titans, The new franchise in IPL-2022 unveiled their squad jersey on Sunday at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya, head coach Ashish Nehra, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, and other team executives unveiled their team’s official shirt on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad-based franchise and the Lucknow Super Giants will join in the IPL 2022, making it a ten-team tournament. They will play against the Lucknow franchise in their first match on March 28.
When asked if he would bowl again, Hardik replied “Sir, it would be a surprise, so let it be a surprise,” the 28-year-old said on the occasion of the team’s jersey launch at Narendra Modi Stadium, their home stadium.
Hardik was selected by Gujarat Titans in the pre-auction draught for Rs 15 crore and got captainship of the team, which would be considered as a new role for the former Mumbai Indians player.
Hardik said, “Success is theirs, failure is mine. Our role will be to make sure the players are comfortable in whatever capacity we can help them out. Clarity, honesty has to be there”
Hardik further added, “In good times they don’t need any of us. But the season will test you, there will be difficult times and that’s when we will be there to support them.”
