New Delhi: Data released by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday morning – indicates that India has recorded more than 37000 new cases of Covid-19 and 1892 omicron cases recorded so far. India reported 37,379 fresh COVID-19 cases and 124 deaths – in the last 24 hours.
The active caseload has now risen to 171,830. The daily positivity rate now stands at 3.24 percent. India has provided more than 152.96 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses to the union territory and states.
However, several states have imposed strict restrictions on public gatherings and other activities. Many political leaders have tested positive for Covid-19 and are now under home isolated.
Arvind Kejriwal tweeted this morning that he has tested positive for Covid and has isolated himself at home.
