Health: Doctors as real-life Masked Superheroes
New Delhi: When the pandemic hit the world and locked humans in a room. Doctors, on the other hand, were preparing for the worst of their fears when the epidemic attacked the planet and trapped humans in a room. They have been in service for a long time, but COVID-19 just renewed its contract.
It took a toll on practically everyone who learned how dangerous and virulent the virus was, and on the other hand, physicians were already struggling with a few patients.
During the epidemic, doctors, nurses, surgeons, and pharmacists worked diligently day and night to save the globe from the worst of diseases.
Despite their mental, physical, and emotional struggles, they had to return to work and go on regardless of how they felt, as the number of cases increased. Witnessing everything and then returning to normal would have been extremely difficult on many levels.
The worst part of it all is that they have to work and take care of the equipment that was practically suffocating them but had to be set up for their protection, such as goggles, N-95 masks, and a PPE bodysuit.
What kept everyone curious is the how. They had remained upbeat and optimistic despite the epidemic’s negative aspects. The frontline personnel were putting their lives on the line and working nonstop.
We’ve always looked to fiction for superpowers, inexplicable endurance, and magical abilities, yet in moments like this, we realise that we already possess all of these qualities. These warriors labour tirelessly to save our lives at all hours of the day and night.
To thank the medical staff for their never-dying spirit, the Mumbai Police have poured in a special tribute, hanging a doctor’s apron and stethoscope next to the Superman and Batman uniform, the Police department had honoured the real-life superheroes.
Honouring all the doctors for their uncompromising attitude towards humanity, the Mumbai Police tweeted on National Doctor’s Day, “The doctor’s apron is no less than a superhero’s cape. We thank all the doctors for their selfless service to this city.”
The honour is well deserved for their sheer honest efforts towards suffering patients.
