In 1997 ( 28 years ), Dr. Jagat Shah started an international trade training school in Ahmedabad, India – Global Network Institute ( GNI ), and since then has conducted 236 cohorts of Masterclass in 45 countries, on “Export market entry & growth program”, attended by 6800 business owners, including MNC’s, SME’s, start ups, women owned businesses, rural businesses, & corporates from around the world who have become established exporters. The training is for products as well as services. In Global Network Institute, he has conducted 990 seminars globally on international trade. During the pandemic, GNI conducted 192 online Vibrantinars from May 2020 to Dec 2023.
The focus of training is on exports, imports, joint venture, technology transfer and investment. It’s a 4 days training for four hours each day. This is followed by three months of one to one handholding & mentoring support to get them an export order. After three months, participants are connected to GNI alumni group of past students for networking. The Franchise owner is Ms. Pragati Sharma, Managing Partner of Aavoz Global Legal Consultancy & LexClaim in Delhi. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and masters degree in Intellectual property rights. She was awarded for being amongst top 50 Emerging IP lawyers in the world. She is also a recipient of prestigious M.K.Nawaz Memorial Award and Gold Medal for excellence in International and Indian Intellectual Property Rights from Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi.
