Gehraiyaan Trailer Launches on Thursday
New Delhi: The first official trailer of this year’s most anticipated film, Gehraiyaan, was launched on social media on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Karan Johar announced the release on social media and wrote, “We can see the shore till then we will dive into your love! Gehraiyaan on Prime releases February 11.”
Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone also shared the trailer on her Instagram handle with a caption that read, “Love, Life, and Choices…Get ready to experience it all! Trailer out now!”
According to director Shakun Batra, the film is a “mirror into modern adult relationships.” The trailer begins with a glimpse of Alisha (Deepika Padukone) and Karan’s (Dhairya Karwa) disrupted marriage before introducing Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
The couple meets Tia (Panday) and her fiancé Zain (Chaturvedi) on a yacht, and soon Alisha and Zain fall for each other. This complicated relation leads to friction in the lives of the four protagonists. The fans are appreciating Siddhant and Deepika’s chemistry in the trailer.
Talking about her character, Deepika said, “Alisha, my character in Gehraiyaan is extremely close to my heart and certainly one of the most challenging characters I have portrayed on screen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role that was fun and challenging at the same time. Each of the characters struggles and arcs is real, raw, and relatable. We endeavor to take viewers on a journey they will relate to.”
Directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, Gehraiyaan, is slated for a February 11, 2022 release on Amazon Prime Video.
