Football: Scottish coach David Moyes to leave West Ham at the end of the season
New Delhi, May 7: West Ham coach David Moyes, 61, will leave the club at the end of the current English Premier League season.
After a poor run in the current season, West Ham FC decided to part away with the Scottish coach.
“West Ham United can confirm David Moyes will leave the club at the end of the 2023/2024 season, when his contract expires.” West Ham United FC wrote on X on Monday.
Moyes was appointed coach of West Ham for the first time in 2017. A year after leaving it in 2018, he rejoined the club in December 2019 and led the club to win the Europa Conference League last season, the club’s first major trophy since 1980.
In his final game as West Ham coach, the club will play against Manchester City FC on May 19.
According to reports, Julen Lopetegui will replace Moyes in the next season.
