Football: Kylian Mbappe signs for Real Madrid FC
New Delhi, June 4: French striker Kylian Mbappe has signed for Real Madrid FC on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint Germain as a free agent in May, the media reported.
Mbappe signed a five-year contract at Real Madrid, worth 15 million euros. “A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams Real Madrid. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now,” he wrote on his social media accounts.
According to Spanish media reports, Mbappe,25, will receive over 85 million euros as a signing-on bonus from Real Madrid FC, which is expected to present him to his fans before Euro 2024.
He left Paris Saint Germain after winning six Ligue 1 titles and four French cups, and he is the club’s all-time top scorer with 256 goals. With the French national team, he won the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He is currently in France as Captain.
