Enraged Monkeys kill 250 Puppies in a Revenge Massacre
New Delhi: Monkeys in the Beed District of Maharashtra committed an outrageous act of revenge as they massacred nearly 250 puppies by dragging them atop trees and buildings and mercilessly dropping them to death.
The killings began a month ago when a pack of street dogs killed an infant monkey. Since then, the enraged monkeys snatch puppies, drag them to higher altitudes, and drop them if found loitering in the area.
The troublemakers did not spare the pet dogs and even hurt owners who tried saving their canines.
The villagers contacted the local Forest Department to help curb the rampage by taking the monkeys hostage. However, when the officials could not catch even a single primate, it attacked locals who tried capturing the animals.
The monkeys have recently turned to school-going children due to a lack of dogs in the region.
