Covid-19: India reports 9119 new cases in last 24 hours
New Delhi: The Health Authority of India reported 9119 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The state located in south India – Kerala registered the most fatalities. 10,264 patients recovered from the virus on Wednesday and the country registered 396 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The active Coronavirus cases stand at 1,09,940 – the lowest in 539 days. The recovery rate of the country is currently at 98.33% which is the highest since March 2020.
Maharashtra recorded 960 new coronavirus infections and 41 fatalities in the last 24 hours while the number of active cases remained below 10,000 for the fourth straight day, the health department said on Wednesday evening. The recovery rate in the state is 97.68 percent while the fatality rate is 2.12 percent.
The total caseload of COVID-19 cases in Kerala crossed 51 lakh to reach 5,102,125 on Wednesday after it recorded 4,280 fresh infections. The state registered a drop in Coronavirus cases than yesterday. Among the 14 districts of Kerala – Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 838 cases followed by Ernakulam (825) and Thrissur (428).
