New Delhi: India logged 6,561 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours and 142 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the health ministry on Thursday morning. The active case now accounts for 0.20 percent of the total infections.
With 142 fresh fatalities, the death toll climbed to 5,14,246 in the last 24 hours. India’s Covid-19 death rate now stands at 1.20 percent.
Covid-19 recovery rate has further improved to 98.60 percent with 14,947 new recoveries. The total number of tests done during the previous day was 882,953.
The daily COVID-19 cases have remained less than one lakh for 24 consecutive days.
