New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry on Monday morning reported 258,089 new cases of covid-19, this number is lower than yesterday’s cases. The death toll surge to 486,451 as and 385 coronavirus patients succumbed in the last 24 hours.
According to Mohfw – 151,740 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 35,237,461. The daily positivity rate was recorded a 19.65 percent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 14.41 percent.
With the administration of more than 39 lakh Doses (3,946,348) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 157.20 Cr (1,572,041,825) as per provisional reports till 7 am today, the health ministry stated.
With the addition of the fresh coronavirus cases, India’s Active caseload currently stands at 16,56,341, the health ministry informed.
