BTS becomes the most viewed artist on YouTube
Mumbai: Popular Korean band BTS emerged as the most viewed artist on YouTube, with an astounding 26.7 billion views across all its official channels on the video-sharing platform.
These statistics made the boy-band as the most watched artists in the history of YouTube. With over one billion views each, songs like Boy with Luv, Dynamite, DNA, MIC Drop, IDOL, and Fake Love top the charts.
The band beat Canadian singer Justin Beiber, who was the most viewed artist on YouTube. Bieber, who is currently in second place with 26.6 billion views, has been eclipsed by BTS.
Meanwhile, British artist Ed Sheeran ranks third with a total of 26.1 billion views. The list also includes popular singers and artists like Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Shakira, Ozuna, Eminem, and Ariana Grande.
The list ranks Ariana Grande on number 10, with BTS and Grande, who is the top and tenth on the list, have a combined total of nearly 6 billion views between them.
Since their debut in the year 2013, the band has ensured and provided entertaining videos to the viewers. The various official YouTube channels that participated in creating BTS communities on the streaming platform are at the heart of this strategy.
They are mostly driven by BANGTANTV, the group’s content provider. The music videos made by the several artists on the label, such as BIGHIT MUSIC, PLEDIS Entertainment, Source Music, KOZ Entertainment, BELIFT LAB, ADOR, and others, are included on HYBE LABELS, the agency’s official channel for all music videos.
