Boxing: Former UFC fighter Geane Herrera dies in motorcycle mishap
New Delhi, May 21: Colombia’s ex-UFC fighter Geane Herrera, 33, died in a motorcycle accident in Florida, USA, the media reported on Monday.
“Geane will always be in our hearts, Herrera leaves behind a 16-year-old son, his 3-month pregnant girlfriend, mother, father, sisters, a brother, and a family that loves him and will deeply miss him.” his family said.
Herrera debuted in mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2011. In his seven-year career, he won 10 of his 13 MMA fights.
In 2015, he also debuted in UFC and fought against Ray Borg in his first fight. He ended his UFC career in 2021 after 4 fights.
