New Delhi, March 31: The Bollywood film Bhola, starring Ajay Devgan, debuted at the box office with a total of Rs. 11.20 crore.
The film Bholaa was released in the theatres on the occasion of Ram navami on Tuesday, and even its clash with the south Indian movie Nanis Dasara, it got a decent score on its first day and mixed reactions from the audience.
The movie critic and trade analyst Taran Aadarsh shared his view over the Twitter handle; he wrote, “Bholaa puts up a decent score on day one, healthy footfalls during spot booking for evening shows, specifically compensating for the low turnout in morning and noon shows… thu rs. 11.20 cr.”
Ajay devgan starer movie Bholaa is a remake of the South Tamil film Kaithi, which was action-packed and suspenseful. Where Ajay Devgan’s movie tells the story of Bholaa, who has been desperately waiting to meet his daughter for ten years, he confronts himself with the precarious situation and gets tangled up with the drug mafia, the common man, and a truckload of cops.
While giving a review for the movie, Tharan Aadarsh wrote, “Massively appealing, Bholaa is loaded with brilliant action sequences and terrific performances by Ajay Devgan and Tabu, and Ravi Basrur’s background score is the icing on the cake.”
Other than Ajay Devgan, the movie stars the Bollywood actress Tabu, Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, Gajraj Rao, Vineet Kumar, Kiran Kumar, and Makarand Deshpande. It is the latest movie of Ajay Devgan’s directorial career, as before last year he had directed the movie Runway 34, starring Rakul Preet Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, and he himself.
