Adani Group plans to invest over Rs 7.5 lakh crore across various sectors of the state’s economy: Karan Adani
Speaking at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 in Jaipur on 9 December 2024, Mr. Karan Adani said, Honourable Prime Minister of Bharat- Shri Narendra Modi Ji, His excellency Governor of Rajasthan, Honourable Chief Minister- Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Distinguished Ministers, Captains of industry, And my dear friends, It is a privilege to be here at the Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024. This state, that we call the ‘Land of Kings,’ is a timeless reminder of India’s rich heritage. Rajasthan is the land where the age-old songs of the desert meet the hum of innovation. This balance of preservation and progress is a lesson for all of us industrialists.
In our search for growth, it is essential to remember that progress without respect for our cultural roots is fleeting. But progress that honours our rich tradition is transformative. And no one has ever better balanced these two aspects than our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Bhai Modi.
Hon’ble Prime Minister, India stands in the middle of a transformative decade, one unlike any in our history. And the world acknowledges that you have been the force behind this extraordinary change. The power of this transformation is not just in sentiment; it is evident in the numbers, the vision, and the outcomes.
When you assumed leadership in 2014: India had a GDP of $1.85 trillion built over 66 years of independence. In the past decade under your leadership, that number has more than doubled.
When you assumed leadership in 2014: India had invested $6 trillion in its economy – over its entire history since our freedom in 1947. In just 10 years, under your vision, India has already mobilized and invested $8 trillion.
When you assumed leadership in 2014: The Nifty stood at 8,000. Today, it stands at an astounding 23,000, reflecting the confidence of investors, entrepreneurs, and citizens across our nation and abroad.

When you assumed leadership in 2014: A staggering 23% of our population lived in poverty. Today, that number has been cut to 11%, with 250 million people lifted out of poverty. This is not just a statistic; it is the story of families finding hope, of children dreaming again, and of a nation reclaiming its promise.
Hon’ble Prime Minister, You represent hope. You represent aspiration. Today, families across India feel empowered to dream – and the promise of a better tomorrow feels tangible. Under your leadership, the world no longer views India as an emerging power; it looks to us as a leader of the Global South. You have set a benchmark for developing nations, combining economic progress with dignity, influence with conviction, and balancing strength with humility.
Hon’ble Chief Minister, Under your visionary guidance, Rajasthan is undergoing a historic transformation. The issuance of 25,000 appointment letters and the ambitious goal of creating 4 lakh jobs for the youth is a testimony to your commitment to empowering future generations. Alongside, your vision of doubling the state GDP in the next 5 years gives us immense confidence to further expand our investments in this state.
Let me now take this opportunity to outline some of our investment plans in Rajasthan. The Adani Group plans to invest over Rs. 7.5 Lakh Crores across various sectors of the state economy with over 50% of these investments being made over next five years. Let me elaborate:
- We plan to build here the world’s biggest integrated green energy ecosystem involving 100 GW of renewable energy, 2 million tonnes of hydrogen and 1.8 GW of pumped hydro storage. These investments will turn Rajasthan into an oasis of green jobs.
- Beyond energy, Rajasthan is critical to our ambition to become India’s largest cement company. We will set up 4 new cement plants to build additional capacity of 6 million tonnes per annum in the state.
- In addition, there are other investments planned such as developing a world class facility at Jaipur airport, multi-modal logistics park and ICDs that will support your transformative plans for Rajasthan.
