Actor Nicholas Cage to star in comedy-drama Dream Scenario
Mumbai: The makers roped in Hollywood veteran actor Nicholas Cage to play the lead in an upcoming Hollywood film, which is titled Dream Scenario.
Apart from announcing the lead actor and the film’s genre, no other details, including the plot, have been revealed by the makers as of yet. The plot details are strictly being kept under wraps.
Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the comedy-drama is expected to be financed and produced by a renowned entertainment company named A24. Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen will also produce the film under the banner Square Peg with Borgli also penning the script.
Meanwhile, Jacob Jaffke and Tyler Campellone will also produce the upcoming film. Dream Scenario marks the fourth collaboration between A24 and Square Peg after providing films like Hereditary, Midsommar, and the upcoming film Disappointment Blvd. featuring Joaquin Phoenix.
Cage was recently seen in the Lionsgate film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. He had played himself in the film. The film also starred actors Pedro Pascal and Tiffany Haddish in pivotal roles.
Cage’s awaiting the release of his upcoming western thriller Butcher’s Crossing, where he will be seen playing a Buffalo hunter. The actor is also awaiting the release of the Universal action comedy titled Renfield. Nicholas Cage is set to essay the character of a Dracula opposite Nicholas Hoult as the titular character in the film.
On the other hand, Kristoffer Borgli’s directing debut was named Sick of Myself. The film premiered in the Cannes Film Festival this year.
