Kiren Rijiju Escapes Unhurt in Road Accident
NEW DELHI, Apr 8: The car in which the union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju was travelling met with a “minor accident” on way from Jammu to Udhampur on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district on Saturday.
None of the occupants including the minister sustained any injury, the police said. The car was hit by a fully-loaded truck but later it continued with the onward journey, said the police.
“While going from Jammu to Srinagar by road, Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju’s car met with a minor accident. No one was injured in the accident. Honourable minister was driven safely to his destination,” said the Ramban police in a statement.
Video of the incident showed security men rushing to open doors of the Minister’s black Scorpio and getting people out. Earlier in the day, the Minister tweeted saying “one can enjoy the beautiful road throughout the journey” as he travelled from Jammu to Udhampur to attend a Legal Services Camp.
