NEW DELHI, Nov 20: Even as India denied of having launched another attack on the terror-launch pads across the Line of Control following the Nagrota encounter killing four infiltrators, the India Chief of Army Staff served a stern warning to Pakistan that any attempt to help terrorists enter India would be thwarted with the same precision as the Jammu encounter.

Referring to the successful operation by security forces eliminating four suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in Nagrota in Jammu district on Thursday, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane said the message was very clear for Pakistan and its terrorists that whosoever crosses the Line of Control to infiltrate into India would be dealt with in the same manner and would not be able to go back.

The Army Chief heaped praise for the troops who carried out the operation against terrorists hiding in a truck laden with apples. He said that there was a great deal of synergy between the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary troops deployed there.

“This was a very successful operation by the security forces. It shows the high degree of synergy between all the security forces operating on the ground,” General Naravane told the media.

“The message is very clear for the adversary and terrorists that whosoever tries to infiltrate towards our side would be dealt in the same manner and they would not be able to go back,” he added.

During the day earlier, reports were flying about the Indian Army attacking terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as was in February, last year. Soon after, the Indian Army Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh clarified that the Indian Army has not conducted any action in PoK.

“Reports of Indian Army’s action in PoK across the Line of Control are fake,” Singh said.

Official sources said among the weapons recovered from the apple-laden truck were 11 AK-47s rifles, three pistols, 29 grenades, and other devices were recovered from them. A significant quantity of Pakistan-made medicines was also recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists.

In the last few weeks, Pakistan Army has been aggressively targeting civilians on Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC) by resorting to indiscriminate firing by heavy calibre artillery guns to support infiltration of terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir. This year, 21 innocent civilians have lost their lives in Pakistani firing compared to 18 in the whole of 2019, according to official data.
