New Delhi: Responding to a recent weapons sale to Taiwan, China has imposed sanctions on 13 US military firms from Thursday, the media reported, quoting the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
This action came after China objected to the United States authorizing a USD 385 million sale of spare parts and support for F-16 jets and radars to Taiwan, which Beijing said undermined its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
China claimed Taiwan as its territory and denounced its President as a “dangerous separatist,” opposing any foreign interactions with the leaders of the breakaway island nation.
The US companies China targeted include Rapid Flight LLC, Red Six Solutions, SYNEXXUS Inc, Firestorm Labs Inc, Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems Inc,HavocAI, Neros Technologies, Cyber Lux Corporation, Domo Tactical
Communications and Group W.
Besides, Beijing will freeze the assets of six executives from five companies including Raytheon, BAE Systems, and United Technologies, in China, and bar their entry into the country. Chinese organizations and individuals are also prohibited from dealing with them.
