NYC India Day Parade 2022: Allu Arjun represents India as Grand Marshal

New Delhi: South Indian actor Allu Arjun represented India as the Grand Marshal at the annual India Day Parade 2022 in New York on Monday, August 22, 2022.

The Pushpa actor took to Instagram and shared stories of the parade on Monday with a caption that read, “Thank you, it was the honour being the Grand Marshal at the India Day parade in NYC.”

The actor can be seen donning a stark white Jodhpuri suit along with a tricoloured handkerchief. He represented the Indian culture and addressed the crowd during the parade. He held the flag in his hand and was heard saying what translated to, “This is the Indian tricoloured flag…it will never bow.”

The Indian superstar was acknowledged with the coveted title of Grand Marshal in the parade a few days after India completed 75 years of Independence. The conferring of the title was a proud moment for the country as the event was telecasted live on the LED screens of the Times Square in New York.

A huge crowd gathered at the parade and hailed the actor as Jai Bunny. Arjun even shared photographs with the Mayor of New York, Eric Adams on Instagram.
