Covid-19: India reports more than 47 thousand cases in a single day, the Biggest single-day rise in two months

New Delhi: The Health Authority of India on Thursday logged 47,092 fresh COVID-19 cases. The Biggest single-day rise in two months. Kerala reported 32,809 fresh cases of the coronavirus on Thursday.

The Union Health Ministry updated the data early in the morning. India’s total tally of cases rose to 3,28,57,937, while active cases increased to 3,89,583. In the last 24 hours, 509 people succumbed due to the deadly contagious virus, taking the fatality count to 4,39,529.

On the other side – the South Indian State Kerala confirmed 171 fatalities of the total deaths in the nation.

“The national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 97.48 percent,” The Union health ministry informed.

The government of India tries to vaccinate maximum people in minimal time to protect the people from the deadliest virus. More than 66 crore COVID vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.

the health ministry said in its statement said: “With the administration of 81,09,244 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 66.30 Crore (66,30,37,334) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.”

The weekly positivity rate has been recorded at 2.62 percent.
