New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light to moderate rainfall, snowfall, and thunder and lightning in North India from December 26 to December 29, 2021.
IMD took to Twitter and wrote, “Light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall very likely over Western Himalayan Region during 26th-29th with isolated thunderstorm and lightning on December 26.”
Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and New Delhi will experience light and isolated rainfall, thunderstorms, lighting, and hailstorm from December 26 to 29, 2021.
“Light isolated rain over Rajasthan during 27th-28th and scattered to fairly with isolated thunderstorm, lighting, and hailstorm over UP during 27th-29th,” the IMD tweeted on Saturday.
Meanwhile, IMD also predicted hailstorms over North-Eastern states. “The presence of a cyclonic circulation over west Assam and surrounding regions will result in light isolated rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura for the next five days.”
Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, and Jharkhand will also receive rainfall next week.
