Mumbai: Popular studio, Warner Bros, have given their nod to upcoming Hollywood superhero film, The Flash. The decision comes after the studio announced that it is shelving the $90 million upcoming film, The Batgirl. The studio even let go of upcoming film, Scoob: Holiday Haunt during the post-production.

Defending their decision, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said, “We have seen the Flash, Black Adam, and Shazam 2. We are very excited about them. We’ve seen them. We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better.”

The decision was announced at a time when the studio axed the premiere of the Leslie Grace starrer Batgril on HBO Max. Addressing the issue, Zaslav said, “We’re not going to launch a movie until it’s ready. We’re not going to launch a movie to make a quarter, and we’re not going to put a movie out unless we believe in it.”

Actor Ben Affleck will return with the Flash as the Justice League version of the Batman, whereas Michael Keaton will return as Tim Burton’s Batman from Batman Returns.

Directed by Andy Muschietti after several directors including Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa and the duo of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein left the project midway due to creative differences, the Flash will feature actors Ezra Miller, Ron Livingston, Kiersey Clemons, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue and Sasha Calle.
