New Delhi: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on Monday said “Three people were killed, and four others injured in a shooting at a warehouse party in Los Angeles. The violence broke out when multiple people opened fire inside a building in the Boyle Heights area of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.”

One of the gunshot victims remained in critical condition on Monday morning, according to Officer Jader Chaves, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson.

Detectives have not yet determined a motive in the shooting around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, and no suspect information has been released.

Blood stained the sidewalk, and clothes — including a sneaker — remained on the street in the hours after the violence as detectives and forensic photographers documented the scene.

Two other victims were stable on Monday, and the fourth has been released from the hospital, Chaves said.

Police say that one of the victims was found outside on the sidewalk and was rushed to the hospital where he died. Two others were found dead inside the venue. LAPD Detective Frank Carrillo told the media that it was the deadliest gun violence incident in the city in 2022.

However, the incident of open firing and mass shooting raised noticeably in the US.
