New Delhi: US President Joe Biden said that the confrontation of NATO with Russia is world-war III. We will not fight a war against Russia in Ukraine.
Announcing additional sanctions against Russia, Biden said that the U.S. will stand with its allies in Europe and will defend every single inch of NATO territory with the full might of the united and galvanized NATO.
Biden further added that “Putin’s war against Ukraine will never be a victory. We will not let autocrats and would-be emperors dictate the direction of the world,”
The U.S. President also held a telephonic conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discussed US’ ongoing security, humanitarian, and economic assistance for the Ukrainian people.
The President updated his Ukrainian counterpart on actions being taken in coordination with the G7 and EU to further raise the costs on Russia for its attack on Ukraine.
“The American people and the world are united on the issue of Ukraine,” Biden said. Biden’s new step would enable Western nations to inflict steep tariff hikes on Russian goods, in coordination with NATO allies, the Group of Seven, and the European Union.
